LET'S BE REAL. LIVING THE VALUES.
Positive Energy - It's Not Just Psycho-Babble
Recently, negative self-talk has had a hold on me every day…..all day long. I feel like a boxer leaning back against the ropes, trying to counter-punch, unsuccessfully. The comments being spoken to me are brutal.
- “You’re never going to be physically fit again.”•
- Your siblings will never be in a relationship with you like they used to.”
- “God is not going to come through for you this time.”
- "This is it, Buddy. You will never survive this ordeal.”
There is certainly a pattern in life with individuals and organizations, that have impure agendas, to influence and sway people to do things that enrich their own interests. Not exactly sure whose voice it is that I am hearing. Is it mine? Is it the worlds? Is it my father’s? Is it the evil one whispering, or shouting, in my ear? Regardless, this pattern needs to stop, or, perhaps, I just need to stop listening to the voice and giving it any authority in my life.
As we all know, one of the Key Values at Shine is Positive Energy. We have all experienced it at our annual conference, in our businesses, or in a one-off meeting with the Shine family. Google search defines positive energy this way:
"In its simplest usage, positive energy is a bundle of desirable attributes."
To me, the key value of Positive Energy has a bigger implication. In God’s word, He tells us to do this, as it relates to being positive.
“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and worthy of praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:9
At Shine, we, not only, have the wonderful privilege to work for a company that holds up key values and encourages us to live them out every day, but, we also have the opportunity to promote them to the men and women that work with us. If we do that, they, in turn, will take these values home to their families and friends. Hopefully, this positive energy will eventually replace the negative thoughts and voices in all of our lives and encourage us to keep on keeping on for the good of all of us.
There's great strength as the Shine Family shares our personal stories!
